After determining that a quorum of the Mobility Cammittee af the Denton Ciiy Council was present, the
Mobility Cammittee thereafter canvened inta an Open Meeting on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 9:00 am
in the City Council Work Session Roam, 215 E. McKinne�y, Dentan, Texas.

REGULAR MEETING
A. MC�19-076 The Mobility� Committee meetin�; m�i�nutes af�November, 2019 were cansidered fo�r
appraval. Motion was rnade, secanded and the minutes were approved by vote (3-0).
8. MC 19-077 Pritam Deshmukh presented a report regardin� the Texas Department of Transportation's
(TxDOT) propasal for the removal of certain roadways fram the state highway system within the City
oi Denton. A discussion was held and a1� questians addressed. A recommendation was made not to
pass a resoluiion and only have an agreement that is not binding unless cerCain things occur. Siaff
was directed to proceed with caution and presentation io fu11 Cauncil for review and f�urt�her discussion
based with an event certain condition and nat a date.
G MC 19-Q7$ Lt. Preston Pohler, Neighbarhaod Services Commander with the Denton Police
Department presented a report on bicycle and pedestrian citatian statistics and enfarcement of laws by
the Denton Police Department with a discussion on safety ramifications with respect to these 1aws.
Coniments centralized on enfarcement and cammunication af the laws and rules for cyclist and
motorist.
D. MC19-079 Pritam Deshmukh presented information nn the Sn1a1l Transpartatian Projects. Tadd
Estes also shared information an TxDOT's ro11 in the review and appraval pracess.
The presentation was made and all questions were addressed.
E. MC 19-080 Marc Oliphant gave a report an the current sidewalk conditians and future impravements
an Bell Avenue between East McKi.nney Street and East University Drive (US 377),
