CITY OF DENTON OSSF PERMIT PROCEDURES
1. Obtain and complete permit application.
2. Obtain plans to meet requirements.
3. Submit the On-Site Sewage Facility (OSSF) application, planning material, and all other required
documents to the Building Safety Division, currently located at 215 E. McKinney St.

LIST OF SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS
OSSF APPLICATION:
City of Denton OSSF Application Form, completed and notarized.
OSSF PLANNING MATERIALS:
An OSSF plan, which shall be prepared by a registered sanitarian or a professional engineer.
A survey of the lot or tract, where the OSSF is to be constructed.
Soil analysis and site evaluations, prepared by a registered sanitarian or professional engineer.
Overall site plan, which shall be drawn to scale showing the location of the OSSF and any other
appurtenance.
Technical report, which shall outline planning and operation of the entire OSSF system. The technical
report shall include wastewater flow calculations, construction materials, and system components.
OTHER REQUIRED DOCUMENTS (if applicable):
Affidavits to the Public are required for the following OSSF systems pursuant to Title 30 Texas
Administrative Code Chapter 285 Section 285.91 (12) and outlined also in 285.3(b)(3) and shall be
included with the OSSF application and planning material.
All required affidavits must be:
Filed with the County Clerk’s Office
Attached to the property deed, and
A certified copy must be submitted with the OSSF application.
MAINTENANCE CONTRACT (if applicable):
A two-year maintenance contract is required for all OSSFs using either a secondary treatment or a surface
application. The property owner is required to provide a copy of the maintenance contract to the City of
Denton. The OSSF shall be maintained at the property owner’s own expense.
