Southwest Park Master Plan Virtual Community Input Meeting
DENTON, TX, Nov. 10, 2020—The City of Denton Parks and Recreation Department will host
a virtual community input meeting on Thursday, Nov. 19, regarding the 190-acre site currently
known as Southwest Park at the corner of S. Bonnie Brae Street and Allred Road.
City staff from the Parks and Recreation Department and consultants from Teague Nall and
Perkins, Inc. are hosting the virtual meeting to receive input, identify needs, and explore new
options such as a recreation center, athletic facilities, aquatic amenities, trees, trails, natural
space,and more.
The virtual meeting will be online using Zoom, a video-conferencing platform. For more details

Date/Time: Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, at 6 p.m.
How to attend the To receive a link to participate, email a request with your
virtual meeting: name and phone number to parksnrec@cityofdenton.com.
Residents are encouraged to sign up for the virtual meeting
at least 24 hours in advance to receive the meeting link.
Special accommodations: The City will provide select accommodations, such as sign
language interpreters for the hearing impaired if requested
at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled meeting.
