Items to be submitted: ☐ 0.1 Provide a copy of the City of Denton’s Owner Authorization Form, available online at www.cityofdenton.com/landdevelopment ☐ 1.1 A narrative explaining how the proposed Tree Preservation Relief Request meets the criteria for approval outlined in DDC Section 7.7.4J. ☐ 1.2 A Tree Preservation/Replacement Plan containing the following: ☐ 1.2.1 The location of all trees to be preserved and removed on the subject site. ☐ 1.2.2 A table containing the following information for ALL trees: ☐ 1.2.2.1 Tree number ☐ 1.2.2.2 Common name of each tree ☐ 1.2.2.3 Circumference of each Landmark Tree ☐ 1.2.2.4 Diameter (dbh) of each tree ☐ 1.2.2.5 General health and condition of each tree ☐ 1.2.2.6 Average canopy spread ☐ 1.2.2.7 Classification (Quality, Heritage, Landmark, Secondary, or Non-Protected as defined in the DDC) ☐ 1.2.2.8 Status (Preserved or Removed) for each tree ☒ 1.2.3 Mitigation Worksheet as shown in Table 7.C and below ☐ 1.2.4 Title block located in lower right corner (titled as Tree Preservation/Replacement Plan) project name, survey name Development Services 401 N. Elm St., Denton, TX 76201  (940) 349-8541 Updated 7/23/21 Tree Preservation Relief Request Checklist 2 and abstract number, block and lot number, and preparation date. ☐ 1.2.5 Key map showing the location of the development in relation to existing streets and highways. ☐ 1.2.6 North arrow and scale appropriate for legible details. ☐ 1.2.7 Dimensions of the boundaries of the property and acreage of the property. ☐ 1.2.8 Dimensions of the boundaries of the Development Impact Area on the property. ☐ 1.2.9 Location and width of existing and proposed easements. ☐ 1.2.10 Legend for abbreviations or symbols used. ☐ 1.2.11 Location and depth of all existing and proposed utilities to include overhead and underground electric lines, gas lines, franchise utilities, storm drains, fire hydrants, water and sewer mains and service lines with pipe sizes, valves, and manholes within and immediately adjacent to the tract. ☐ 1.2.12 Existing and proposed topography at two foot contours with the limits of grading clearly delineated. Spot existing and proposed elevations at existing trees to be preserved. ☐ 1.2.13 Indicate notes and details for tree protection and preservation measures. Refer to DDC Figure 7.7.1. ☐ 1.2.14 Location of any and all permanent conservation easements, preservation areas, restrictive covenants, or other legal mechanism to allow for long-term conservation of any or all trees required to be preserved. ☐ 1.2.15 Identify and label all Environmental Sensitive Areas (ESA) on the property. ☐ 1.2.16 The Tree Preservation/Replacement Plan must be prepared by or under the supervision of an ISA certified or ASCA registered arborist, a SAF certified forester, botanist, professional land surveyor that has documented completion of at least eight (8) hours or training in Texas tree identification, or a registered landscape architect.
