1 02/16/24 Council Member Meltzer Work Session C. 24-217 Shouldn't we do the related closed session before this item, rather than after it? The posting of the closed session is conditioned upon whether or not Council Members have questions after reviewing the Legal Status Report
that provides details on the project.
2 02/16/24 Council Member Meltzer Work Session C. 24-217 What happens if Denton says no?Will this definitely be built somewhere else? If Denton says no,we have no reason to believe that this would not be built somewhere else.
02/16/24 Council Member Meltzer Work Session C. 24-217 How can we most directly tie the incremental energy demand to new renewable capacity ERCOT forecasts additional solar resources interconnecting to the grid over the next three years to be between 51,831 MW and 64,311 MW.
coming online? (>150%increase)and between 5,094 MW and 6,560 MW of new wind resources(13%increase). The resulting number of incremental carbon
free MWhs available in the market will be in excess of 200 million MWhs/year. The proposed project will consume 161,184 MWh or.079%of the
3 available carbon free MWhs.Were DME to contract for long term power purchase agreements with renewable energy resources to supply this
proposed project, the risk profile to DME customers would increase substantially and the resulting price to the customer would likely force the
customer to site the project elsewhere. The proposed arrangement with the customer removes all risk of default and market volatility from existing
DME customers and provides only upside for to the City.
02/16/24 Council Member Meltzer Work Session C. 24-217 Will this be interruptible and offer the same grid stabilization benefits as Core Scientific? Yes. The proposed customer will be price sensitive and like existing data center customers will not be running during periods of high wholesale
4 energy prices and during grid emergency conditions. DME estimates that the proposed customer will curtail operations 8%of the hours in the
year.(-700 hours).
5 02/16/24 Council Member Meltzer Consent AB. 24-326 Shouldn't we have the related Closed Session before we have requests to pull items from Because Consent Agenda items are pulled before Closed Session,if a Council Member is uncertain whether they want to approve the item before
the Consent Agenda? Closed Session then that Council Member should pull the item at the beginning of the meeting.
6 02/18/24 Mayor Hudspeth Consent B. 24-094 Please email me the application. Document provided.
7 02/16/24 Council Member Meltzer Item for Individual A. 24-376 Was there any new information not available at the first hearing? There is no new information.
02/16/24 Council Member Meltzer Mayor Hudspeth Item for Individual A. 24-376 If the motion to reconsider succeeds, how could the public hearing be the same night? If the motion to reconsider passes, the Resolution of Support approved on February 6,2024,will be invalidated as if it had never been voted on.
Consideration Aren't there notice requirements for public hearings?-CM Meltzer Stella Haven's application to TDHCA is due March 1.If City Council does not consider the approval of the Resolution of Support for this 9%
housing tax credit application before March 1,it will effectively kill the project's ability to successfully compete for Tax Credits and secure
Help me to understand why the motion to reconsider and public hearing are on the same necessary project financing. This public hearing includes the option for City Council to consider the Resolution for Support.
8 agenda.-Mayor Hudspeth If the motion does not pass, the Resolution of Support approved on February 6,2024(ID 24-048)will remain in effect,so the Public Hearing 5.13
ID 24-383 will not be held.
In anticipation of the possibility that the motion to reconsider could succeed, notice of the potential public hearing is included in the original
meeting announcement. This approach is designed to meet legal requirements for notice, ensuring that the community was made aware of the
potential for a public hearing in advance.
9 02/18/24 Mayor Hudspeth Item for Individual A. 24-376 Please provide a recent traffic study report for this area of Teasley...several new business Document provided.
