WHEREAS, State Senator Drew Springer has served the people of the 30th District of Texas with distinction,
bringing strong leadership, dedication, and a deep understanding of the issues facing our state
to the Texas Senate;and
WHEREAS, Senator Springer, a committed public servant and advocate for rural Texas, has tirelessly
championed policies that support economic development, education, healthcare, and the
preservation of our state's agricultural heritage, ensuring that the voices of his constituents in
the City of Denton and beyond were heard; and
WHEREAS, his tenure in the Texas Senate has been marked by significant legislative achievements,
including efforts to reduce taxes, protect individual liberties, and promote job creation, all of
which have had a lasting positive impact on the quality of life in our community; and
WHEREAS, Senator Springer's collaborative approach and ability to work across the aisle have earned him
the respect of his colleagues and the gratitude of the citizens he has served,making a meaningful
difference in the lives of many; and
WHEREAS, after a distinguished career in public service, Senator Springer has announced his retirement,
leaving behind a legacy of accomplishment and a record of unwavering commitment to the
principles that have guided his work in the Texas Senate.
NOW,THEREFORE, I, Gerard Hudspeth, Mayor of the City of Denton, Texas, do hereby recognize and honor State
Senator Drew Springer for his exemplary service, leadership, and contributions to the City of
Denton and extend our heartfelt congratulations on his well-deserved retirement.
