WHEREAS, World Migratory Bird Day is an annual global awareness campaign that celebrates
the journey of migratory birds and highlights the importance of conservation
efforts;and
WHEREAS, migratory birds connect ecosystems across vast distances and provide several
benefits to the community including ecological balance and encouraging outdoor
recreation;and
WHEREAS, the City of Denton is committed to protecting and enhancing our local habitats to
support migratory birds.
