WHEREAS, the City of Denton, Texas is immensely proud to celebrate the extraordinary
talents and achievements of Breanna Nix,who has captivated the nation with her
remarkable voice and compelling performances on American Idol;and
WHEREAS, through perseverance and exceptional talent,has soared through the competition,
earning a coveted spot as a Top 3 finalist and has inspired countless individuals in
our community and across the country, showcasing the power of dreams, hard
work,and authentic artistry;and
WHEREAS, as part of the American Idol show,Breanna has returned to her hometown to share
her success with the community, and the City of Denton is honored to host a
celebratory parade and concert in her recognition to provide an opportunity to
express our pride and support.
NOW,THEREFORE, I, Gerard Hudspeth, Mayor of the City of Denton,Texas, do hereby declare and
proclaim the 14th day of May 2025 as
"BREANNA NIX DAY"
