WHEREAS, September 271,2025,marks the 20''anniversary of Mount Zion Praise Church,
which was founded by Reverend and 11 Lady Rockson at 1607 East McKinney
St.,suite 600 where the church was officially dedicated by Reverend Randy Snow
of Faith Assemblies of God;and
WHEREAS, Mount Zion Praise Church is a place to call home for many UNT and TWU
students providing help and support throughout the community;and
WHEREAS, through the grace of God and with the love from the church members, a new
building was acquired in 2019, and the 1'service was held on July 7a', 2019, at
3105 Heather Lane. The building was dedicated by Bishop Martin of Gospel
Tabernacle Church on September 26,2021.
NOW,THEREFORE, I,Gerard Hudspeth,Mayor of the City of Denton,Texas,do hereby recognize that
this church has been a beacon of light in Denton since it was founded 20 years ago
and urge all citizens to join together in recognition and appreciation for the
members,past,and present,of the congregation of Mount Zion Praise Church for
their commitment and contributions to the community.
