WHEREAS, each October, the City of Denton's downtown area transforms into the premier
Halloween destination, with an array of fun and frightful activities for residents
and visitors of all ages featuring a variety of exciting and immersive experiences;
and
WHEREAS, the 31 Days of Denton Halloween builds on the success of last year's inaugural
event that attracted more than 660,000 visitors to Denton's historic square;and
WHEREAS, the 31 Days of Denton Halloween evokes a sense of nostalgia,paying homage to
the cherished traditions of this holiday and celebrating our artist community;
including movie nights,a block party and pumpkin drop,a themed scavenger hunt,
interactive storytelling sessions,seasonal treats and one-of-a-kind attractions;and
NOW,THEREFORE, be it Resolved,that the City of Denton proudly acknowledges and celebrates the
31 Days of Denton Halloween,honoring its commitment to Denton special events,
arts,culture,tourism,and economic development.
