Location: Bell Avenue from U.S. 380 to Texas Street 2. Proposed Date of Construction: April 24, 2017 3. Proposed Date of Completion: July 29, 2017 4. Brief Description of the Project: The project involves the replacement of wastewater lines under the road, the removal and replacement of damaged curbs and gutters and the milling of the old asphalt road surface and installation of a new asphalt surface. The wastewater line replacement has been completed and the curb and gutter work will begin on June 1. Public notification on this project includes: Door-hangers placed at impacted residences; Press release, notification sent to Texas Woman's University; and information sent on social media. 5. Special Requirements: In order to ensure your safety and to expedite the project, Bell Avenue will be closed to through traffic. There may be temporary delays entering and exiting driveways. We ask that you refrain from parking on the street during this period. Detour signage will be in place to direct motorists and safety fencing will be installed along certain sections in order to provide for pedestrian safety. 6. Funding Source: The project is budgeted for$505,817 and is being funded by maintenance funds approved by the Denton City Council. 7. Map: See attached. 8.
