FOR THE PURCHASE OF TUBULAR STEEL TRANSMISSION LiNE STRUCTURES BETWEEN THE
CITY OF DENTON AND THOMAS & BETTS CORPORATION, PROVIDING FOR AN INCREASE IN
THE SCOPE OF WORK AND AN INCREASE IN THE PAYMENT AMOUNT, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE (BID 2346 - TUBULAR STEEL TRANSMISSION LINE STRUCTURES (POLES)
AWARDED TO THOMAS & BETTS CORPORATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $420,060 PLUS CHANGE
ORDER ONE IN THE AMOUNT OF $39,992)
WHEREAS, on April 20, 1999, the C~ty awarded a contract to Thomas & Betts, Corporation m the
amount of $420,060, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager having recommended to the Council that a change order be
authorized to amend such contract agreement w~th respect to the scope end price and smd change order being
m comphanee with the reqmrmments of Chapter 252 of the Local Government Code, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
sEiCTION I. That the change order increasing the amount of the contract agreement between the
City and Thomas & Betts, Corporation, copy of which is attached hereto, m the amount of THIRTY NINE
THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED NINETY TWO and no/100 Dollars ($39,992), is hereby approved and the
expenditure of funds therefor is hereby authorized The master contract amount is amended to read $460,052
SECTION II That this ordinance shall become effective ~mme&ately upon its passage and
approval
