AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS AMENDiNG ORDiNANCE 91-082
RELATING TO THE SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR THE CITY OF DENTON BY
iNCREASING FEES FOR iNSPECTION OF CITY RIGHT-OF-WAY AND PARKING LOT
PERMITS AND ADDING A FEE FOR APPEALS AND VARIANCES TO TRAFFIC SAFETY
COMMISSION, PROVIDiNG FOR A REPEALER, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE, PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE, AND PROVIDiNG FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1 That the schedule of fees and charges in Ordinance 91-082 are hereby
amended to add inspection fees which are generally provided for m Chapter 25, Code of
Ordinances, City of Denton, as follows
Sec 25-77 (f) Insneetion fees (Minimum of one [1] hour)
Repmrs or Construction in Right-of-Way $35 00 per hour
Overtime (after 5 00 p m on weekdays & weekends) $50 00 per hour
SECTION 2 That the schedule of fees and charges in Ordinance 91-082 are hereby
amended to add permit and variance fees which are generally provided for in Chapter 34, Code
of Ordinances, City of Denton, as follows
Sec 34-115(c)(2) P~rkine lot permit fees
1 - 50 spaces
51 - 100 spaces
101 - 250 spaces
251 - 500 spaces

SECTION 3 That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in force when the provisions of
this ordinance became effective winch are inconsistent, or in conflict with the terms or
provisions contained in this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict
SECTION 4 That if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word
~n this ordinance, or application thereof to any person or circumstances is held invalid by any
court of competent junsdmtlon, such holding shall not affect the validity of the remmmng
portions of th~s ordinance, and the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby declares it
would have enacted such remmnlng portions despite any such lnvah&ty

SECTION 5 That the prows~ons of th~s ordinance as they apply to Ordinance 91-082
shall govern and control over any conflicting provision of Ordinance 91-082, but all the other
provm~ons of Ordinance 91-082 not m conflict w~th such amendments, shall continue ~n force
and effect
SECTION 6 That th~s orchnance shall become effective, charged, and applied to all
services occumng on and after October 1. 1999. and a copy of smd fees and charges shall be
malnttuned on file m the office of the City Secretary
