COMMERCIAL WASTEWATER MINIMUM VOLUME CHARGED TO WASTEWATER
CUSTOMERS WITHOUT CITY OF DENTON WATER SERVICE (SR, SMH, AND SC),
ADDING A MOBILE HOME PARK WASTEWATER SERVICE RATE (SMH), COMBINING

(FOG), based on the actual costs, and

Agrees to pay, based on the industrial surcharge
formula, a surcharge on all wastewater discharged

determined by the monitoring performed in Section

Professmnal landscapers, tree trimmers, and yard mmntenance personnel are required to bnng
their grass, leaves, and brush (all collectible yard waste) to the landfill, and are not permitted
to leave any of the above-referenced collectible yard waste items stacked or piled on the curb
at the customer's location
Grass, leaves, and brush shall not be assessed the City of Denton sohd waste 3 5% surcharge
to compensate for the State of Texas surcharge for all solid waste received at landfills if the
materials are not landfilled

Tlus schedule apphes to the lnstallataon, removal, or relocation of wastewater taps by the C~ty of
Denton Utility Department at the request of any person, firm. association, corporation, or other
legal enttty
Any person, finn. association, corpora, on. or other legal entity that requests that a wastewater main
tap be removed, installed, or relocated by the Wastewater Utility Department shall pay ~n advance
to the Wastewater Utallty Department the following applicable fees

All service shall be offered from avmlable factht~es If a customer sermce request for a
special or unusual sennce not otherwise provided for by the Wastewater rate ordinance,
and/or reqmres facllales and devices wbach are not normally and readily avmlable at the
locataon at which the customer requests the service, then the C~ty shall provide the service
subject to the requirements of paragraph (2) of this Rader
The total cost of all facilities reqmred to meet the customer's speclal requirements which are
recurred by the City ~n connection with rendenng the service shall be subject to a special
contract entered into between the Wastewater Utthty Department and the customer Tlus
contract shall be signed by both partaes prior to the Ctty providing the requested servme to
the customer

~qRC. TION 3. That if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word in
tlus ordinance, or apphcat~on thereof to any person or c~rcumstances is held mvahd by any court of
competent junsd~ctaon, such holding shall not affect the validity of the remmmng portions of ttus
ordinance, and the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby declares it would have
enacted such remmnmg portaons despite any such ~nvahd~ty
~ql~.C~TIONI 4. That the Schedule of Rates here~n adopted shall be effective, charged and
applied to all wastewater service rendered on or after October l, 2000, and a copy of smd rates,
fees, and charges shall be mmntmned on file m the Office of the City Secretary
