ORDINANCE NO
AN ORDiNANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, INITIALLY DESIGNATING TO
AGRICULTURAL (A) ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND USE DESIGNATION
FOR 75 71 ACRES OF LAND IN THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, LOCATED ON THE
SOUTH SIDE OF MCKINNEY STREET AND DIRECTLY OPPOSITE OF TRINITY ROAD,
PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY IN THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $2,000 00 FOR
VIOLATIONS THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE (A-84, TRINITY
MEADOWS)
WHEREAS, on Apnl 6, 1999, Oty Councal received a report, held a d~scuss~on and then
darected s~affto proceed wath involuntary annexation of the 75 71 acres described herean, and
WHEREAS, the property to be annexed reqmres a zomng d~strlct classaficatlon and use
designation upon as annexataon, and
WHEREAS, on June 9, 1999, the Planmng and Zomng Commission recommended
approval of the proposed Agricultural (A) zoning dastnct, and
WHEREAS, on July 20, 1999, the Caty of Denton ~nvoluntary annexed 75 71 acres of
land described hereto which was made effectave upon ars passage, and
WHEREAS, the C~ty Council finds that the proposed zoning wall be ~n compliance with
the 1988 Denton Development Plan, the 1998 Denton Plan Pohc~es, and the 1999 Growth
Management Strategies and Plan, NOW, THEREFORE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1 That the zomng thstnct classxficataon and use desagnaUon of the 75 71 acre
property described m the legal description attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhlbat A
~s hereby Agricultural (A) zoning d~stnct under the comprehenswe zomng orthnance of the City
of Denton, Texas
SECTION 2 That the Caty's officaal zomng map is amended to show the zomng dlsmct
classfficat~on
SECTION 3 That any person wolatang any prowsaon of th~s ordinance shall, upon
conwct~on, be fined a sum not exceeding $2,000 00 Each day that a provlmon of th~s ordinance
as wolated shall constamte a separate and d~stmct offense
SECTION 4 That th~s ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14) days from the date
of ars passage, and the C~ty Secretary ~s hereby &retted to cause the eaptaon of th~s ordinance to
be pubhshed twine an the Denton Record-Chromcle, a daffy newspaper pubhshed an the Caty of
