CLASSIFICATION AND USE DESIGNATION FOR A 6715 ACRE TRACT OF LAND
LOCATED IN THE OAKMONT II ADDITION (LOT 6, BLOCK C) LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS
BEING 6715 ACRES IN THE STEPHEN HEMBRIE SURVEY, ABSTRACT 643, IN THE CITY
OF DENTON, DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR APPROVAL OF A DETAILED
PLAN FOR THE DISTRICT, PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY IN THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT
OF $2,000 00 FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE

WHEREAS, Timothy May, on behalf of Lloyd Blaylock-Lennox Oaks II, L P, has apphed
for a change m zomng for a 6715 tract of land from Single Family 7 w~th Condmons (SF-7[c])
zomng dmtnct classification and use des~gnation to Planned Development (PD) zomng dmtnct
classification and use designation, and
WHEREAS, on July 14, 1999, the Planmng and Zoning Conumsslon recommended approval
of the requested change m zoning, and
WHEREAS, on July 14, 1999, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval
of the detailed plan shown as Exhibit "B",
WHEREAS, the City Cotme~l finds that the change m zomng will be m compliance w~th the
1988 Denton Development Plan, the 1998 Denton Plan Pohc~es, and the 1999 Growth Management
Strategies and Plan, NOW, THEREFORE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the zoning district classification and use designation of the 6715 acre
property described m the legal description attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A"
is changed from Single Family 7 with Conditions (SF-7 Ici} zoning thstnet classification and use
designation to Planned Development (PD) zoning district classification and use designation and a
detmled plan for the 6715 acres is adopted, smd detailed plan being attached hereto and incorporated
herein as Exhibit "B" for all purposes, to allow an amenities center in accordance with the
comprehensive zoning ordinance of the City of Denton, Texas
SECTION II That thc City's official zomng map is amended to show the change in zomng
district classification
SI~CTION III That any person violating any provision of this ordinance shall, upon
conviction, be fined a sum not exceeding $2,000 00 Each day that a provision of this ordinance is
violated shall constitute a separate and distinct offense
SECTION 1V That tlus ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14) days from the date

published twice in the Denton Record-Chromele, a dmly newspaper published in the Caty of Denton,
Texas, wltlUn ten (10) days of the date of its passage
