court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions of tlus ordinance, and the C~ty Counml of the C~ty of Denton, Texas hereby declares ~t
would have enacted such remammg port~ons despite any such vahdlty
~ That tbas ordinance shall become effective ~mmedmtely upon ~ts passage

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 99-290 AND ORDINANCE NO 99-308
TO PROVIDE A DANGEROUS ANIMAL PERMIT FEE AND MAINTAINING THE
EXISTING FEES PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 6 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT A SCHEDULE OF FEES SHALL BE
MAINTAINED ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY SECRETARY, PROVIDING A
SAVINGS CLAUSE, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Manager, in consultation with the Ammal Control Division,
recommended to the City Cotmcll a fee be created for dangerous animal permits, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it in the public interest to increase these fees, NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1 That the following fees in the Schedule of Fees established by Ordinance
No 99-290 and Ordmance No 99-308 are hereby amended to be collected pursuant to the
specified provisions of Chapter 6 of the Code of Ordinances
