AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 22-38 OF CHAPTER 22 (PARKS AND
RECREATION) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS,
RELATING TO FACILITY AND PROGRAM FEES BY ADOPTING A SCHEDULE OF
FEES, REPEALING ALL FEES IN CONFLICT WITH SUCH SCHEDULE, REPEALING
ORDINANCE NO 91-055 AND ALL ORDINANCES 1N CONFLICT WITH THE NEW
SCHEDULE OF FEES, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
ECi~S..~_Ti_Q.h~ That Sec 22-28 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas ts
amended to read as follows
Sec. 22-28. Facility and program fees.
The department of parks and recreation shall charge and collect the fees for the use of
bmkhngs and facthttes and for recreational programs, services, and merchandise offered
by the department tn the amounts established in a "Schedule of Fees" adopted from time
to time by ordinance of the city council
The director of the department may set, charge and collect fees for classes, trips,
equipment, merchandise, pohce or superwsory servmes, and other programs, services,
events and merchanchse provxded or offered by the department where no fee ~s
established in the "Schedule of Fees" The fee or charge shall be based on the costs of
providing the event, service, eqmpment or goods
~F~LT.!.Q..h~ That the "Schedule of Fees" for FY 1999-2000 and until such time as such
schedule is amended is set forth tn Exhibit "A", which is attached hereto and made a part hereof
for all purposes
~ That Orchnance No 91-055 and all ordinances, parts of ordinances, fee
schedules or fees in force when the provmons of this or&nance become effective which are
~nconststent or tn conflict with the terms or provisions contained ~n this or&nance are hereby
repealed Ordinance No 91-055 excepted, all or&nances, parts of or&nances, fee schedules or
fees not inconsistent or m conflict with the terms or provisions contmned tn this ordinance shall
remmn in full force and effect
~ That the provisions of this ordinance are separable, and the lnvalt&ty of
any phrase or part of this ordinance shall not affect the val~&ty or effectiveness of the rematnder
of this ordinance
~ That this or(hnance shall become effective ~mmedlately upon its passage
and approval
