AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, DESIGNATING THE PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 610 OAKLAND STREET AS A HISTORIC LANDMARK UNDER SECTION
35-215, ARTICLE V, OF CHAPTER 35 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, PROVIDING
FOR A PENALTY 1N THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $2,000 FOR VIOLATIONS
THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the Hlstonc Landmark Commission and the Planning and Zomng
Commms~on of the C~ty of Denton havmg recommended that the property here~n described be
designated as a h~stonc landmark ~n the C~ty of Denton, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
~ That the property located at 610 Oakland Street, bemg more particularly
described m Exhibit "A" attached hereto and ~ncorporated here~n by reference, ~s hereby
designated as a hmtonc landmark under Sectmn 35-215, Article V of Chapter 35 of the Code of
Ordinances of the C~ty of Denton, Texas
S T_S~ That smd property hereto described shall be ~ndmated upon the zomng map
of the C~ty of Denton as a hmtonc landmark by the letter "H," and the property here~n described
shall be subject to all terms, provmlons and reqmrements of Section 35-215, Artmle V of Chapter
35 of the Code of Ordmances of the City of Denton, Texas, and such designation shall be ~n
addmon to any other use designat~on established ~n the C~ty's zoning ordinance apphcable to
such property

conviction, be fined a sum not exceeding $2,000 Each day that a provision of th~s ordinance ~s
wolated shall constitute a separate and d~stlnct offense
~ That tlus orchnance shall become effective fourteen (14) days from the date
of its passage, and the C~ty Secretary Is hereby d~rected to cause the captmn of thru ordinance to
be pubhshed twice ~n the Denton Record-Chromcle, the official newspaper of the C~ty of
Denton, Texas, w~thm ten (10) days of the date of~ts passage
