AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING ON OCTOBER 1, 1999, AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER
30, 2000, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, noUce of a pubhe heanng on the budget for the City of Denton, Texas, for the
fiscal year 1999-2000 was heretofore published at least ten days m advance of smd public heanng,
and
WHEREAS, a pubhc heanng on the smd budget was duly held on August 31, 1999, and all
interested persons were g~ven an opportumty to be heard for or agmnst any item thereof, NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAI3IS
SECTION 1 That the budget for the City of Denton, Texas for the fiscal year begmmng on
October 1, 1999, and enchng on September 30, 2000 prepared by the City Manager and filed v~th
the City Secretary, as amended by the City Council, is hereby approved and adopted, a copy of
which budget is attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein
SECTION 2. That the City Council hereby appropriates from avmlable resources to the
following funds

SECTION 3. That the C~ty Manager is hereby authorized to transfer the amounts of money
for employee benefit and salary adjustments as contained in the 1999-2000 budget to the vanous
departments
SECTION 4. That the C~ty Manager shall cause eop~es of the budget to be filed w~th the C~ty
Secretary and County Clerk of Denton County
SECTION 5 That tins ordinance shall become effective ~mmedmtely upon ~ts passage and
approval
