APPROVING GUIDELINES FOR OPERATION OF THE CITY OF DENTON OPTIONAL
RECONSTRUCTION PROGRAM AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA, AUTHORIZING
EXPENDITURES IN EXCESS OF $15,000 FOR PROJECTS MEETING PROGRAM
GLr/DELINES AND CRITERIA, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the C~ty Council of the C~ty of Denton recogmzes the need to assist low and
moderate mcome famlhes ,n securing safe, samtary and decent housing, and
WHEREAS, the City of Denton partlc~pates ~n an Optional Reconstruction Program
Gmdehnes and Optaonal Reconstruction Program Ehg~blhty Cntena adrmmstered by the C~ty of
Denton Commumty Development Office and funded through a federal grant fi.om the Department
of Housing and Urban Development, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1 That the C~ty Council approves the Optional ReconstmcUon Program
Guldel,nes and Optional Reconstruction Program Ehg~bfl~ty Cntena which is attached to and made
a part of fins ordinance for all purposes as Extubat "A" and authorizes the City of Denton
Commumty Development Office to adm,mster th~s program
SECTION 2 That ~t authorizes the expenditure of funds ,n excess of $15,000 by the
Community Development Office for projects meeting program guldehnes and criteria, subject to
eomplaance w~th compet~txve b~ddmg laws, where appl, cable
SECTION 3 That flus ordinance shall become effective ~mmed~ately upon its passage and
approval
