WHEREAS, the C~ty has sohc~ted, received and tabulated competitive b~ds for the
construction ofpubhc works or anprovements m accordance w~th the procedures of STATE law and
C~ty orchnances, and
WHEREAS, the Caty Manager or a designated employee has received and recommended that
the hereto deacnbed btds are the lowest responsable bids for the construction of the publac works or
improvements described in the bad mwtahon, bid proposals and plans and specfficat~ons thereto,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
~ That the following compentlve bids for the construction of pubhc works or
improvements, as deacnbed m the "Bad Inmtat~ons", "B~d Proposals" or plans and specifications on
file ~n the Office of the C~ty's Pumhasmg Agent filed according to the bid number assigned hereto,
are hereby accepted and approved as bemg the lowest responsible b~ds

consntute a contract between the C~ty and the person submatang the bxd for constmcUon of such

all reqmrements specffied ~n the Notice to B~dders including the tamely execution of a written
contract and furmshmg of performance and payment bonds, and ansurance cemficate after
notffication of the award of the b~d
~ That the Ctty Manager m hereby authorized to execute all necessary written
contracts for the performance of the constmctmn of the pubhc works or ~mprovements m accordance
with the' bids accepted and approved hereto, prowded that such contracts are made m accordance
w~th the Notate to Bxdders and Bad Proposals, and documents relating thereto specffytng the terms,
con&tmns, plans and specfficatlons, standards, quantities and specffied sums contmned there~n
SECTION IV That upon acceptance and approval of the above competitive bxds and the
execution of contracts for the public works and ~mprovements as authonzed herein, the City Council
hereby authonzes the expenditure of funds in the manner and xn the amount as specified ~n such
approved bids and authorized contracts executed pursuant thereto
SECTION V That flus ordinance shall become effective ~mmedlately upon its passage and
approval
