AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR THE
RENAMING OF THICKET TRAIL TO MONTECITO DRIVE, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the proposed extenmon of Thicket Trail will now extend to the proposed
extension of Montecito Drive and ~t was recommended by DRC that Tlucket Trail be renamed to
Montemto Drive, and
WHEREAS, said renaming will simplify street names and prowde for more consistent
addressing, and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the C~ty of Denton conducted a
pubhc heanng on July 14, 1999, and recommends renaming ofThmket Trml to Monteclto Drive,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
~ That the street officially designated as TNcket Trml, being a public street
connecting F M 2181 to the future extension of Montec~to Drive, as illustrated in the attached
Exhibit "A", which m incorporated and made a part hereof, ~s renamed to Montemto Drive
~ That the Director of Planmng and Development ~s directed to amend the
official map of the City of Denton to reflect the change m the street name as provided herren
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective ~mmedmtely upon its passage
and approval
