PURCHASE OF COPY MACHINE MAiNTENANCE AVAILABLE FROM ONLY
ONE SOURCE iN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF STATE LAW
EXEMPTING SUCH PURCHASES FROM REQUIREMENTS OF COMPETITIVE
BIDS, AND APPROVING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (PURCHASE ORDER 00194 TO
DANKA OFFICE IMAGING IN THE AMOUNT OF $26,760 PER YEAR THROUGH
JANUARY 2002)
WHEREAS, Sectton 252 022 of the Local Government Code provides that
procurement of ttems that are only avmlable from one source, mcludmg, items that are
only available from one source because of patents, copyrights, secret processes or natural
monopolies, films, manuscripts or books, electnetty, gas, water and other utfltty
purchases, captive replacement parts or components for eqmpment, and library materials
for a pubhe hbrary that are available only from the persons holding exclusive dlsmbutlon
rights to the materials, need not be submttted to competttive bids, and
WHEREAS, the Ctty Council wishes to procure one or more of the items
mentaoned tn the above paragraph, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAiNS
SECTION I That the follovang purchase of materials, equipment or supplies, as
described tn the "Purchase Orders" listed hereon, and on file in the office of the
Purchasing Agent, are hereby approved

SECTION II That the acceptance and approval of the above items shall not
constttute a contract between the City and the person submitting the quotataon for such
items until such person shall comply with all reqmrements specified by the Purchastng

SECTION III That the City Manager ts hereby authorized to execute any
contracts relating to the Items specffied in Sectton I and the expendtture of funds pursuant
to said contracts is hereby authorized
