BEDS AND BODmS, PROVIDING FOR THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS THEREFOR, AND
PROVIDING FOR. AN EFFECTIVE DATE (BID # 2149 - TRUCK BED AND BODIES - TOTAL
AWARD $35,651 85)
WHEREAS, the City has sohclted, received and tabulated compeUUve b~ds for the purchase
of necessary rnatenals, eqmpment, supphes or services Lq accordance vath the procedures of STATE
law and C~ty orchnauces, and
WHEREAS, the C~ty Manager or a designated employee has rewewed and recommended
that the llerem descnbed bids are the lowest responsible b~ds for the matenals, eqmpment, supphes
or services as shown m the "B~d Proposals" subnutted therefore, and
WHEREAS, tho Clty Council has provided m the C~ty Budget for the apprepnat~on of funds
to be used for the purchase of the matenals, extmpment, supphes or sennces approved and accepted
here~n, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the numbered It~ns m the follov~ng numbered b~ds for materials,
eqmpment, supphes, or sex~ces, shown m the "B~d Proposals" attached hereto, are hereby accepted
and approved as being the lowest responsible bxds for such ~tems

specifications, standards, quantmes and for the specified sums contained in the B~d Invttatlons, Bid
Proposall, and related documents
~ECTION ~ That should the City and persons subrmttmg approved and accepted items
and of the subrmtted bids vosh to enter rote a formal written agreement as a result of the
acceptance, approval, and awarchng of the bids, the City Manager or lus designated representative
is hereby anthonzed to execute the written contract which shall be attached hereto, prowded that the
written eontract is m accordance w~th the terms, concht~ons, spaclficaUons, standards, quanUt~es and
specified sums contained m the Bid Proposal and related documents hereto approved and accepted
SECTION IV That by the acceptance and approval of the above numbered items of the
submitted bids, the City Council hereby authonzas the expenditure of funds therefor m the amount
and in a~cordance voth the approved bids or pursuant to a written contract made pursuant thereto as
authonzed herren
SECTION V That tlus ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval
