Section I That the City Secretary is directed to issue a Notice of Sale of Bonds m
substantaally the follovang form

GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS
SERIES 1998
The City Council of the City of Denton, Denton County, Texas, will receive sealed bids at the
Mumcipal Braiding, 215 E McKanney Street, in the City of Denton until
11 00 a m, C D T, Tuesday, April 7, 1998
for the purchase of
$9,660.000 C_,-~nera! Obligation Bonds. Series 1998 to be dated April 1, 1998, and to mature
serially on February 15 of each year 1999 through 2018
Sealed bids, plainly marked "Bid for Bonds", should be addressed to "Honorable Mayor and
City Council, City of Denton, Texas", and must be subnutted on the "Official Bid Form" to
be made avmlable by the City Council prior to the date of sale
All sealed bids vall be publicly opened and tabulated before the Council
Copies of the "Official Statement", "Notice of Sale", and "Official Bid Form" are being
prepared and vall be mmled to prospective bidders on or about March 24, 1998, and vail be
furmshed to any prospective bidder upon request, by First Southwest Company, 500 First
City Center, 1700 Pacltic Ave, Dallas, Texas 75201, Financial Adwsor to the City
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all irregularities

York, which Is a national pubhcation regularly and primarily carrying financial news and mumapal
bond sale notices, and smd Notice also shall be published once in the "Denton Record-Chromcle",
which has been designated as the offiaal newspaper oftbe City of Denton Said publications shall
be made at least thirty days prior to the day set for receiving bids
Section IH That tbs Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon tts passage and
approval
