AN ORDiNANCE ACCEPTING COMPETITIVE BIDS AND AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
MOWING, TRASH REMOVAL, AND EROSION CONTROL, PROVIDING FOR THE
EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS THEREFOR, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTWE DATE (BID #
2170 - MOWING, TRASH REMOVAL, EROSION CONTROL TO HARDY AND SON
ENTERPRISES IN THE ESTIMATED ANNUAL EXPENDITURE OF $25,000 00)
WHEREAS, the City has solicited, received and tabulated competitive bids for the
construction ofpubhc works or improvements m accordance with the procedures of STATE law
and City ordinances, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager or a designated employee has received and recommended that
the herem described bids are the lowest responmble bids for the construction of the pubhc works or
improvements described in the bid invitation, bid proposals and plans and specifications therein,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the following competitive bids for the construction of public works or
improvements, as described in the "Bid Invitations", "Bid Proposals" or plans and specifications on
file in the Office of the City's Purchasing Agent filed according to the bid number assigned hereto,
are hereby accepted and approved as being the lowest responsible bids

SI~CTION II That the acceptance and approval of the above competitive bids shall not
constitute a contract between the City and the person submlttmg the bid for construction of such

all requirements specified in the Notice to Bidders including the timely execntlon of a written
contract and funushing of performance and payment bonds, and insurance certificate after
notification of the award of the bid

w~th the bads accepted and approved hereto, provided that such contracts are made m accordance

cond~tions, plans and specfficat~ons, standards, quantities and specified sums conttuned thereto
SECTION IV That upon acceptance and approval of the above competitive b~ds and the
execution of contracts for the pubhc works and ~mpmvements as authorLzed herein, the C~ty Counml
hereby authorizes the expenditure of funds ~n the manner and ~n the amount as specffied m such
approved b~ds and authorized contracts executed pursuant thereto
SECTION V That tins ordinance shall become effective immediately upon ~ts passage and
approval
