AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING COMPETITIVE BIDS AND AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
THE PURCHASE OF ORNAMENTAL STREET LIGHT POLES AND FIXTURES, PROVIDING
FOR THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS THEREFOR, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTWE
DATE (BID # 2179 - ORNAMENTAL STREET LIGHT POLES IN THE AMOUNT OF
$57,090 00 AWARDED TO FRED OBERLENDER AND ASSOCIATES)
WHEREAS, the City has solicited, received and tabulated competitive bids for the purchase
of necessary matenals, eqmpmant, supphes or services in accordance with the procedures of STATE
law and City ordinances, and
WI-IEREAS, the City Manager or a designated employee has reviewed and recommended
that the herein described bids are the lowest responsible bids for the materials, eqtupment, supplies
or services as shown in the "Bid Proposals" submitted therefore, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has prowded m the City Budget for the appropriation of funds
to be used for the purchase of the maXenals, equipment, supplies or services approved and accepted
herem, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
~ That the numbered items m the following numbered bids for materials,
eqmpment, supphes, or services, shown m the "Bid Proposals" attached hereto, are hereby accepted
and approved as being the lowest responsible bids for such ~tems

specifications, standards, quantltxes and for the specified sums contained m the Bid Invitations, Bid
Proposals, and related documents
~ That should the C~ty and persons submitting approved and accepted items
and of bids wish to enter into a formal written agreement as a result of the
acceptance, approval, and awarchng of the bids, the C~ty Manager or his designated representative
is herebylauthonzed to execute the wnttan contract wluch shall be attached hereto, provided that the
written contxact is m accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications, standards, quant~ttes and
specified sums contained m the Bid Proposal and related documents herem approved and accepted

submitted,bids, the City Council hereby authorizes the expen&ture of funds therefor m the mount
