1998-134AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS AMENDING ARTICLE V "PUBLIC
AND SEMIPUBLIC SWIMMING POOLS" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF DENTON BY AMENDING SECTION 14-113 "PERMITS TO OPERATE" TO REDUCE
THE ANNUAL SWIMMING POOL INSPECTION FEE, PROVIDING FOR RETROACTIVE
APPLICATION, PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
WHEREAS, an ordinance was passed and approved by the City of Denton on September 2,
1997, setttng the annual swimming pool mspectmn fee at One Hundred Ninety Dollars ($190 00),
and
WHEREAS, the City of Denton now recommends that the annual swimming pool
inspection fee be reduced, NOW, THEREFORE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
~ That Section 14-113 "Permits To Operate" of the Code of Orchnances of the
City of Denton, Texas, subsection (c) is hereby mended to read as follows
(c) An annual fee is hereby estabhshed for the inspection of swanmlng pools m the amount of
$160 00 for each pool
Ci~,.O__TI.O__hl.~ That flus ordinance will be given retroactive effect, and any person who has
pa~d the $190 00 svammmg pool inspection fee between September 3, 1997 and the effective date
of tins ordinance shall be refunded the $30 00 difference between that fee and the new $160 00 fee
i~uF,~,IIO._N_~ That save and except as amended hereby, all the sections, sentences, and
clauses of Article V, sectmn 14-113 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas shall
remain m full force and effect
~ That flus ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval
