DEED PROVIDING FOR THE SALE OF CERTAIN REAL ESTATE OWNED BY THE CITY
OF DENTON, AUTHORIZiNG THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE QUIT CLAIM DEED,
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (BID #2218 - SALE OF LAND 0 466 ACRES
WELL SITE NO l0 AWARDED TO FAITH TABERNACLE ASSEMBLY OF GOD
CHURCH iN THE AMOUNT OF $1,001 00)
WHEREAS, the City of Denton, m accordance with the requirements of TEX LOC
GOV'T CODE ANN § 272 001 (Vernon 1988), has advertised for bids on the purchase of
certain 0 466 acres located at Lattlmore Street, and described as Well Site No 10, and
WI-IEREAS, the City Manager having recommended to the City council that the said sale
of the land be approved, and
WHEREAS, m accordance with Sec 12 04 of the City Charter, the Council hereby finds
that the property described above is not essential to continued effective utility service, NOW
THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas approves the sale of the
property which is described with more particularity in Exhibit "A" by accepting the bid of Faith
Tabernacle Assembly of God
E TIjS.~C~T. LO_~L~_ The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a qmt claim deed in
substantially the same form as the one attached as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herem by
reference, together with any other documents necessary to consummate the sale of the real
property in accordance with the quit claim deed, and the expenthtures of funds incidental to said
exchange
