AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING COMPETITIVE BIDS AND AWARDiNG AN INSURANCE
CONTRACT FOR PROPERTY AND COMMERCIAL CRIME COVERAGE, PROVIDING FOR
THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS THEREFOR, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
(BID # 2240 - PROPERTY iNSURANCE AWARDED TO ARKWRIGHT MUTUAL
INSURANCE COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $212,318 00)
WHEREAS, the C~ty has sohclted, received and tabulated compeUtlve bids for the purchase
of neceasary materials, eqmpment, supphes or services ~n accordance w~th the procedures of STATE
law and City orchnanees, and
WHEREAS, the C~ty Manager or a designated employee has rewewed and recommended
that the hereto described b~ds are the lowest responsible bids for the materials, equipment, supplies
or serwce$ as shown in the "Bid Proposals" submitted therefore, and
WHEREAS, the C~ty Council has promded m the City Budget for the appropriation of funds
to be used for the purchase of the materials, eqmpment, supplies or servmes approved and accepted
herein, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the numbered atems ~n the following numbered bids for materials,
equipment, supplies, or services, shown in the "Bid Proposals" attached hereto, are hereby accepted
and approved as being the lowest responmble b~ds for such items

Proposals, and related documents
~ECTION III That should the City and persons subrmtt~ng approved and accepted ~tems
and of theI submitted bids wish to enter into a formal written agreement as a result of the acceptance,
approval, ,and awarding of the bids, the City Manager or his designated representative is hereby
authorized to execute the wntten contract winch shall be attached hereto, provided that the written
contract is m accordance w~th the terms, condmons, specfficatlons, standards, quantities and
specified sums contained m the Bid Proposal and related documents herein approved and accepted
SECTION IV That by the acceptance and approval of the above numbered ~tems of the
submitted b~ds, the C~ty Council hereby authorizes the expenditure of funds therefor ~n the amount
and ~n accordance with the approved b~ds or pursuant to a written contract made pursuant thereto as
authorized hereto
SECTION V That thts ordinance shall become effective ~mmedmtely upon ~ts passage and
approval
