AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING COMPETITIVE BIDS AND AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
THE PURCHASE OF A HYDROMULCHER MACHINE, PROVIDING FOR THE
EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS THEREFOR, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTiVE DATE (BID #
2241 - HYDROMULCHER AWARDED TO JAMES LINCOLN CORP IN THE AMOUNT OF

WHEREAS, the C~ty has sohmted, recmved and tabulated competitive b~ds for the purchase
of necessary materials, equipment, supphes or servxces m accordance w~th the procedures of STATE
law and Clty ordinances, and
WHEREAS, the C~ty Manager or a demgnated employee has rewewed and recommended
that the hereto described bxds are the lowest responmble bids for the materials, equipment, supphes
or services as shown m the "Bid Proposals" submitted therefore, and
WHEREAS, the C~ty Council has proxaded m the City Budget for the appropriation of funds
to be usedl for the purchase of the materials, equipment, supphes or services approved and accepted
herren, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the numbered items ~n the following numbered b~ds for matenals,
eqmpment, supplies, or services, shown m the "Bid Proposals" attached hereto, are hereby accepted
and approyed as being the lowest responmble bids for such ~tems

spemficat~ons, standards, quantmes and for the specified sums contmned m the Bid Invitations, Bid
Proposals, and related documents
SECTION III That should the C~ty and persons submitting approved and accepted ~tems
and of the,submitted bids wmh to enter into a formal written agreement as a result of the acceptance,
approval, land awarding of the b~ds, the C~ty Manager or h~s demgnated representative ~s hereby
authorized to execute the wntten contract wtuch shall be attached hereto, prowded that the written
contract iS m accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications, standards, quantities and
spemfied sums contmned in the Bxd Proposal and related documents herein approved and accepted
SECTION IV That by the acceptance and approval of the above numbered items of the
submitted b~ds, the C~ty Councd hereby authorizes the expenditure of funds therefor in the amount
and m accordance w~th the approved b~ds or pursuant to a written contract made pursuant thereto as
authorized here~n
