AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING ON OCTOBER 1, 1998, AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER
30, 1999, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, notme of a public heanng on the budget for the City of Denton, Texas, for the
fiscal year 1998-99 was heretofore pubhshed at least fiReen (15) days m advance of smd pubhc
heanng, and
WHEREAS, a public heanng on the smd budget was duly held on September 1, 1998, and all
interested persons were given an opportumty to be heard for or against any item thereof, NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I. That the budget for the City of Denton, Texas for the fiscal year begnmmg on
October 1, 1998, and ending on September 30, 1999 prepared by the City Manager and filed w~th
the City Secretary, as amended by the City Council, is hereby approved and adopted, a copy of
winch budget is attached hereto and incorporated by reference here~n
SECTION II. That the City Council hereby appropnates from available resources to the
following funds

~ That the C~ty Manager is hereby authorized to transfer the amounts of money
for employee benefit and salary adjustments as contained in the 1998-99 budget to the various
departments
~ That the City Manager shall cause copies of the budget to be filed w~th the
City Secretary and County Clerk of Denton County
