WHEREAS, the City has sohclted, received and tabulated competitive b~ds for the
constructmn ofpubhe works or ~mprovements m accordance with the procedures of STATE law and
C~ty ordinances, and
WHEREAS, the Cliy Manager or a demgnated employee has receaved and recommended that
the hereto described bids are the lowest responmble bads for the construction of the pubhc works or
~mprovements described m the b~d mwtatlon, b~d proposals and plans and specaficahons thereto,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the following competR~ve bids for the constructaon of publac works or
improvements, as described m the "Bad Inwtat~ons", "B~d Proposals" or plans and specifications on
file m the Office of the City's Purchasing Agent filed according to the b~d number assigned hereto,
are hereby accepted and approved as being the lowest responsable b~ds

SECTION II That the acceptance and approval of the above compemave b~ds shall not
constitute a contract between the City and the person subm~ttang the b~d for construction of such

all reqmrements specified ~n the Not,ce to Bidders mcludlng the timely execution of a written
contract and furmshmg of performance and payment bonds, and ansurance certificate after
notfficat~on of the award of the b~d
SECTION III That the City Manager is hereby anthonzed to execute all necessary written
contracts for the performance of the construction of the publac works or amprovements an accordance
w~th the b~ds accepted and approved hereto, provided that such contracts are made an accordance
with the Not,ce to B~dders and B~d Proposals, and documents relating thereto specifying the terms,
conditions, plans and specfficatlons, standards, quantatles and specafied sums contained thereto
