1998-345AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FOR
PURCHASE OF MATERIALS, SUPPLIES OR SERVICES FOR THE PURPOSE OF
PRESENTING THE SEVEN HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE TRAINING
WHICH ARE AVAILABLE FROM ONLY ONE SOURCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE PROVISIONS OF STATE LAW EXEMPTING SUCH PURCHASES FROM
REQUIREMENTS OF COMPETITIVE BIDS, PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
(PURCHASE ORDER # 90111 TO COVEY LEADERSHIP CENTER IN THE
AMOUNT OF $51,000 00)
WHEREAS, Section 252 022 of the Local Government Code provides that
procurement of ~tems that are only avmlable from one source, xnclurhng, items that are
only avmlable from one source because of patents, copyrights, secret processes or natural
monopohes, films, manuscripts or books, electricity, gas, water and other utility
purchases, captive replacement parts or components for eqmpment, and hbrary materials
for a pubhc hbrary that are available only from the persons holding exclusive d~stnbutlon
rights to the materials, need not be submitted to competmve b~ds, and
WHEREAS, the City Cotmcd w~shes to procure one or more of the ~tems
mentioned in the above paragraph, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDA1NS
SECTION I. That the following purchase of materials, eqmpment or supphes, as
descnbed m the "Purchase Orders" attached hereto, are hereby approved
