AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE FROM
AGRICULTURE (A) ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION TO SINGLE FAMILY (SF-10)
ZONINGI DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND USE DESIGNATION FOR 58 351 ACRES OF
LAND LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF F M 2181), PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY IN
THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $2,000 00 FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF, AND PROVIDING
FOR AN 'EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, Warren Corw~n, P E, w~th Corwm Englneenng, on behalf of Joe and Teresa
Freeman,, has applied for a change m zomng for 58 351 acres of land from Agneulttuce (A) zoning
district elasmfieaUon and use demgnation to Single Family (SF-10) zomng d~smet elasslfieaUon and
use deslgnaUon, and
WHEREAS, on October 14, 1998, the Planning and Zomng Commission recommended
approval of the requested change m zomng and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the change m zomng will be m eomphanee w~th the
1988 Denton Development Plan and the 1998 Denton Plan PollmeS, NOW, THEREFORE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
Section I That the zomng chstnct classification and use designation of the 58 351 acre tract
of land described m the legal descnpUon attached hereto and meoxporated hereto as Exlublt A, is
changed ,from Agriculture (A) zomng district elasslfieaUon and use designation to Single Family
(SF- 10) zoning district classlficaUon and use demgnatxon, under the comprehensive zonmg orchnance
of the City of Denton, Texas
Section H That the Qty's official zomng map as amended to show the change an zomng
dlsmct classification
Secuon HI That any person wolatmg any prowsion of tbas ordinance shall, upon eonwetton,
be fined a sum not exceeding $2,000 00 Each day that a provision of ttus ordinance as violated shall
constitute a separate and distract offense
~ That fins ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14) days from the date of
its passage, and the City Secretary as hereby directed to cause the caption of this orchnance to be
pubhshed tv~ce m the Denton Record-Chromcle, a dmly newspaper pubhshed m thc City of Denton,
Texas, within ten (10) days of the date of its passage
