AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CHANGE ORDER ~M TO A
CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF LANDFILL CELL #1 BET~VEEN THE CITY
OF DENTON AND RBI/LANDMARK RECLAIvIATION, INC, PROVIDING FOR AN
INCREASE IN THE SCOPE OF WORK AND AN INCREASE IN THE PAYMENT
AMOUNT, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (BID #2165 TO RBI/LANDMARK
RECLAMATION, INC IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,523,913 68 + CHANGE ORDER #4 1N THE
AMOUNT OF $6,100)
WHEREAS, on 3-3-98, the City awarded a contract for Construction of Landfill Cell #1
m the contract mount of $1,503,817 74 total, and
WHEREAS, on 7-22-98, the City of Denton approved change order #1 at no charge, and
WHEREAS, on 8-27-98, the C~ty of Denton approved change order #2 in the amount of
$10,069 94, and
WHEREAS, on 10-14-98, the City of Denton approved change order #3 in the total
amount of $10,026, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager having recommended to the Council that a change order
be authorized to amend such contract agreement with respect to the scope of price and smd
change order being in compliance with the requirements of Chapter 252 022 of the Local
Government Code, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That change order ~4 increasing the amount of the contract between the
City and RBI/LANDMARK RECLAMATION, INC, copy of which is attached hereto, m the
amount of SIX THOUSAND ONE and no/100 ($6,001), is hereby approved and the expenditure
of funds therefor is hereby authorized The contract amount is amended to read $1,529,914 68
SECTION II That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and approval
