PURCHASE OF MATERIALS OR EQUIPMENT WHICH ARE AVAILABLE FROM ONLY
ONE SOURCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 252 OF THE
TEXAS LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE EXEMPTING SUCH PURCHASES FROM
REQUIREMENTS OF COMPETITIVE BIDS, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
(PURCHASE ORDER 91286 TO CARON COMPACTOR CO IN THE AMOUNT OF
$39,850 00)
WHEREAS, Seetaon 252 022 of the Local Government Code provades that
procurement of atems that are only avmlable from one source, ~neludmg, ~tems that are
only available from one source because of patents, copyrights, secret processes or natural
monopohas, films, manuscripts or books, electncaty, gas, water and other utthty
purchases, captive replacement parts or components for eqmpment, and hbrary materials
for a pubhc hbrary that are available only from the persons holding exclusive thstnbutlon
rights to the materials, need not be submatted to competmve bads, and
WHEREAS, the Caty Council w~shes to procure one or more of the atems
mentaoned m the above paragraph, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the following purchase of materials, eqmpment or supphes, as
described in the "Purchase Orders" lasted hereon, and on-file an the office of the
Purchasmg Agent are here by approved

SECTION II That the acceptance and approval of the above items shall not
consUtute a contract between the Caty and the person submattlng the quotation for such
