AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE AND PUBLICATION OF
NOTICE OF SALE OF CITY OF DENTON GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS,
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE STATE OF TEXAS

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
Section I That the City Secretary is directed to issue a Notice of Sale of Bonds in
substantially the following form
OFFICIAL NOTICE OF SALE
CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS
$4,700,000
GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS
SERIES 1997
The City Councd of the City of Denton, Denton County, Texas, will receive sealed b~ds at the
Mumcipal Building, 215 E Mcganney Street, in the City of Denton until
11 00 a m, C D T, Tuesday, April 15, 1997
for the purchase of
$4,700,000 General Obhgation Bonds. Series 1997 to be dated April 1, 1997, and to mature
serially February 15 ench year 1998 through 2017
Sealed bids, plainly marked "Bid for Bonds", should be addressed to "Honorable Mayor and
City Council, City of Denton, Texas", and must be submitted on the "Official Bid Form" to
be made available by the City Council prior to the date of sale
All sealed bids will be publicly opened and tabulated before the Council
Copies of the "Official Statement", "Notice of Sale", and "Official Bid Form" are being
prepared and will be mailed to prospective bidders on or about April 1, 1997, and will be
furmshed to any prospective bidder upon request, by First Southwest Company, 500 First
City Center, 1700 Pacific Ave, Dallas, Texas 75201, Financial Advisor to the City
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to wsave any and all ~rregulantles

York, which Is a national publication regularly and pnmanly carrying flnancml news and mumapal
bond sale notices, and smd Notice also shall be published once in the "Denton Record-Chromcle",
wl~ch has been designated as the official newspaper of the City of'Denton Smd pubhcat~ons shall
be made at least thrty days prior to the day set for receiving b~ds
Section III That flus Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon ~ts passage and
approval
