AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, PRESCRIBING THE NUMBER
OF POSITIONS IN EACH CLASSIFICATION OF POLICE OFFICER, PRESCRIBING
THE NUMBER OF POSITIONS IN EACH CLASSIFICATION OF FIRE FIGHTER,
REPEALING ALL PRIOR INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS TO THE
EXTENT OF ANY SUCH CONFLICT, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the Fire Fzghters' and Polzce Officers' Civil Service
Commzsslon of the City of Denton, Texas, upon the recommendatzon
and request of the Director of Czvll Service, Denton Polzce
Department and the Denton Fire Department, adopted and approved the
attached Schedule of Authorized Positions which relates to
compensation and classification of police offzcers and fire
fzghters, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION____~I That the schedule prescribing the number of
posltzons for each classification of police officer and fire
fzghter in the City of Denton, attached hereto and incorporated by
reference herein as Exhzblt A, is hereby approved
SECTION II That all prior ordinances or resolutions of the
City of Denton, Texas, zn conflict herewith are repealed to the
extent of any such conflict

lmmedzately upon its passage and approval
