ORDINANCE NO
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, WHICH PROHIBITS THE
PARKING OF VEHICLES ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF CORNELL LANE, PROVIDING
A PENALTY OF A FINE NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200 00),
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH, PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION, AND DECLARING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I. When sagns are erected giving notice thereof, no
person shall park a vehicle, at any tame, upon the followang
portions of the followang streets in the Caty of Denton, to-wit
The west sade of Cornell Lane from its lntersectaon wath the
north curbllne of University Drive north for three hundred
twenty-three (323) feet
The east s~de of Cornell Lane from the north curbllne of
University Drive north for two hundred fifteen (215) feet
SECTION II That an individual adjudged guilty of any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a m~sdemeanor, and
punashed by a fine not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200 00)
~ That ~f any section, subsection, paragraph,
sentence, clause, phrase or word in this ordanance, or applacatlon
thereof to any person or circumstance as held invalid by any court
of competent jurisdiction, such holdang shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions of thas ordinance, and the Caty
Council of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby declares it would have
enacted such remaining portions despite any such anvalld~ty
SECTION IV That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
force when the provisions of this ordanance become effectave which
are lnconsxstent or in conflact with the terms or provaslons
contained ~n this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of
any such confllct
~ That this ordanance shall become effective fourteen
(14) days from the date of ~ts passage, and the Caty Secretary as
hereby directed to cause the captaon of thas ordanance to be
published twice in the Denton Record-Chronicle, the official
newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of the
date of ~ts passage
