USE DESIGNATION TO THE MULTI-FAMILY 1 (MF-1) ZONING DISTRICT CLAS-
SIFICATION AND USE DESIGNATION FOR 4 5872 ACRES OF I.AND LOCATED ON
THE NORTH SIDE OF LONDONDERRY LANE, APPROXIMATELY 293 FEET EAST OF
SAM BASS BOULEVARD, PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY IN THE MAXIMUMAMOUNT
OF $2,000 00 FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
WHEREAS, Mr Lawrence Bane initiated a change in zoning for
4 5872 acres of land from the Light Industrial (LI) zoning d~strlct
classification and use designation to the Multi-Family (MF-1)
zoning district classification and use designation, and
WHEREAS, on June 26, 1996, the Planning and Zoning Commzss~on
recommended approval of the requested change ~n zoning, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the change ~n zoning will
be ~n compliance with the Denton Development Plan, NOW, THEREFORE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the zonzng d~str~ct classification and use
designation of the 4 5872 acres of land described in Exhlbzt 1,
attached hereto and zncorporated by reference, zs changed from the
Lzght Industrial (LI) zoning district classlfzcatlon and use desig-
nation to the Multi-Family 1 (MF-1) zoning d~str~ct classification
and use deszgnatzon under the comprehenszve zonzng ordinance of the
C~ty of Denton, Texas
SECTION II That the City's official zoning map ~s amended to
show the change in zoning district classification
SECTION III That any person v~olatlng any provlszon of this
ordinance shall, upon conviction, be f~ned a sum not exceeding
$2,000 00 Each day that a provision of th~s ordinance is v~olated
shall constitute a separate and distinct offense
SECTION IV That this ordinance shall become effective four-
teen (14) days from the date of zts passage, and the Czty Secretary
· s hereby directed to cause the caption of this ordinance to be
published twice in the Denton Record-Chronicle, a dally newspaper
publzshed in the Czty of Denton, Texas, wlthln ten (10) days of the
date of zts passage
