ORDINANCE NO ~
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING ASSIGNMENT PAY FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT
EMPLOYEES IN THE CLASSIFICATION OF CAPTAIN WHO ARE ALSO ASSIGNED TO
PERFORM THE DUTIES OF EMS PROGRAM MANAGER, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, Section 143 042 of the Local Government Code
authorizes a municipality to pay assignment pay which is in an
amount and is payable under conditions set by ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and Fare Chief having recommended
that the Fire Department employees in the classification of Captaln
who are assigned to perform the duties of EMS Program Manager
should receive assignment pay of Five Hundred Thirty Dollars and
Thlrty-s~x Cents ($530 36) per month, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the Fire Department employees classified as
Captain who are assigned to perform the duties of EMS Program
Manager shall receive assignment pay of F~ve Hundred Thirty Dollars
and Thirty-slx Cents ($530 36) per month in addition to the regular
monthly salary of Captain
SECTION II That this ordinance shall become effective ~mmed-
lately upon Its passage and approval

employee m the classfficat~on of Captain who ~s assigned to perform the duties of EMS Program
Manager should receive ass~gument pay of Five Hundred Ninety-three Dollars and Nmety-five
Cents ($593 95) per month, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the F~re Department employee classffied as Captarn who is asSlgued to
perform the duties of EMS Program Manager shall receive assignment pay of F~ve Hundred
N~nety-three Dollars and Ntnety-five Cents ($593 95) per month m ad&t~on to the regular monthly
salary of Captmn
SECTION II That flus ordmance shall amend and replace Ordinance No 96-237, and
Ordinance No 96-237 ~s hereby repealed and ~s of no further force and effect
SECTION III That ttus ordinance shall become effective nnmed~ately upon ~ts passage and
approval
