AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR ANAMEND-
MENT TO THE DETAILED PLAN OF LOT 1, BLOCK A, JOHN C JOHNSON ADDI-
TION NO 2, A 1 419 ACRE TRACT LOCATED ON THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF
FRAME STREET AND ULJIND STREET, PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY IN THE
MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $2,000 00 FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF, AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, Mr John C Johnson previously applied for and
received approval of a change mn zoning from the Single Family 7
(SF-7) zonmng dmstrmct and use classmficatmon to the Planned
Development zonmng district and use classifmcatlon (PD-149), upon
passage and approval of Ordmnance 93-133 on August 3, 1993, and
WHEREAS, Mr John C Johnson has subsequently applmed to the
Planning and Zoning Commissmon to amend the detailed plan applmca-
ble to said zoning, and
WHEREAS, on October 9, 1996, the Plannmng and Zonln9 Commms-
smon recommended approval of the requested amendment to the
prevmously approved detamled plan, and
WHEREAS, the City Council fmnds that the amendment to the
detamled plan wmll be mn compliance with the Denton Development
Plan, NOW, THEREFORE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the detailed plan for the PD-149 zoning
dlstrmct classlfmcatlon and use designation of the 1 419 acres of
land platted as Lot 1, Block A, John C Johnson Addmtlon No 2, ms
hereby amended under the comprehensmve zonmng ordmnance of the C~ty
of Denton, Texas, said amendment being effected by the approval of
the revmsed detailed plan attached as Exhibit 1, attached hereto
and incorporated by reference herein, which supersedes the original
detamled plan
SECTION II That the provisions of this ordmnance govern and
control over any conflmctmng provmsmon of Ordznance No 93-133
SECTION III That a copy of this ordmnance shall be attached
to Ordmnance No 93-133, showmng the amended detailed plan herein
approved
SECTION IV. That any person v~olatlng any provision of this
ordmnance shall, upon convmct~on, be fined a sum not exceedzng
$2,000 00 Each day that a provision of this ordinance is vzolated
shall constitute a separate and distinct offense
SECTION V, That this ordmnance shall become effective four-
~ (14) days from the date of its passage, and the City Secretary
is hereby directed to cause the caption of this ordinance to be
published twice in the Denton Record-Chronicle, a dally newspaper
published in the City of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of the
date of its passage
