ORDINANCE NO. 9%
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS DESIGNATING TWO PARKING
SPACES IN THE 100 BLOCK OF FRY STREET AS RESTRICTED PARKING FOR
POLICE VEHICLES ONLY; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED TWO
HUNDRED DOLLARS; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
~ When signs or markings are in place giving notice
thereof, no person shall park a vehicle which is not an authorized
police vehicle at any time upon the following streets an the City
of Denton:
Two parking spaces on the southeast side of Fry Street
beginning with the parking space d~rectly in front of 106
Fry Street and the space directly south of the first space.
SECTION II. That all provisions of the ordinances of the City
of Denton in conflict wzth the provisions of this ordlnance are
hereby repealed, and all other provisions of the ordinances of the
C~ty of Denton, not in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance, shall remain in full force and effect.
~ That if any provision of this ordinance or the
applicatlon thereof to any person or circumstances is held invalid,
such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications,
and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are severable.
SE T~. That any person violating any provision of this
ordinance shall, upon conviction, be fined a sum not exceeding Two
Hundred Dollars ($200.00).
SECTION V. That this ordinance shall become effective fourteen
(14) days from the date of its passage, and the City Secretary is
hereby directed to cause the caption of this ordinance to be
published twice in the Denton Record-Chronicle, the official
newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of the
date of its passage.
