1995-176B: \ADOPT, BUD ORDINANCE NO. ~ AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING ON OCTOBER 1, 1995, AND ENDING ON SEPTEM- BER 30, 1996; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing on the budget for the city of Denton, Texas, for the fiscal year 1995-96 was heretofore pub- lished at least fifteen (15) days in advance of said public hear- ing; and WHEREAS, a public hearing on the said budget was duly held on the 22nd day of August, 1995, and all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any item thereof; NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the budget for the City of Denton, Texas for the fiscal year beginning on October 1, 1995, and ending on September 30, 1996 prepared by the City Manager and filed with the city Secretary, as amended by the City Council, is hereby approved and adopted, a copy of which budget is attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein. SECTION II. That the City Council hereby appropriates from available resources to the following funds: General Fund $34,063,203 Recreation Fund 656,800 Tourist & Convention Fund 546,000 General Debt Service Fund 5,153,357 Electric Fund 73,533,273 Water Fund 14,649,119 Wastewater Fund 10,395,881 Solid Waste Fund 6,638,776 Fleet Services Fund 2,412,838 Warehouse Fund 3,110,019 Motor Pool Fund 4,902,711 Total $156,061,977 SECTION III. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to transfer the amounts of money for employee benefit and salary adjustments as contained in the 1995-96 budget to the various departments. SECTION IV. That the City Manager shall cause copies of the budget to be filed with the City Secretary and County Clerk of Denton County. SECTION V.
