AN ORDINANCE CANVASSING THE RETURNS AND DECLARING THE RESULTS OF
THE REGULAR MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF DENTON ON MAY 7,
1994.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. The City Council finds and declares that the May 7,
1994, regular municipal election was duly ordered for the purpose
of electing three Councilpersons to Places 5, 6, and 7; that proper
notice of said election was duly given and election officials ap-
pointed; that the election was duly held and the returns of the
election officials have been delivered to the Council, all in ac-
cordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter and
ordinances of the City of Denton.
SECTION II. The official returns of the election officials
having been opened, examined and canvassed, and the Council hereby
finds and declares that 2,988 ballots were cast at the election,
and that the votes cast for each place on the Council were as
follows:

SECTION III. The Council finds and declares that each candi-
date listed below received a majority of the votes cast for each
place on the Council and that each candidate listed below is hereby
declared to be elected to the city Council of the City of Denton:

and the candidates shall assume the duties of their office on the
date that they take the official oath of office.
