The annual charge, if any, shall be included on the monthly bill- ing for the next July following the end of the Water Year for which it is charged, and shall be billed and be payable in accor- dance with the monthly billing provided for below. PAYMENT Denton shall render bills on the tenth (10th) day of each month. Bills shall be due and payable when rendered. Bills are considered delin- quent if not paid by the twenty-fifth (25th) day of the month. DEPOSIT $650.00 User shall place a deposit for each use of each of the City's hy- drant meter(s) needed. Deposit will be returned when meter is re- turned and final bill is paid. NET RATE Volume Charge: $2.75 per 1,000 gallons Monthly volume shall be computed by subtracting the beginning meter reading from the ending meter reading divided by 1,000, and multiplied times the volume charge, upon the monthly return of the meter to the Water Department for reading. FACILITY CHARGE $31.20 per 30 days INSTALLATION CHARGE $52.00 per meter per installation PAYMENT Bills are due when rendered, and become past due if not paid within 15 calendar days from date of issuance. Upon completion of the installation or similar work requested, the applicant shall be billed at actual cost, as determined by the Utility Department, plus a 20% administrative charge. Any excess deposit shall be refunded to the applicant. The installation charges may be waived by the Utility department for a request to install taps exclusively dedicated to fire sprinkler systems. PAGE 26 SPECIAL FACILITIES RIDER All service shall be offered from available facilities. If a customer service characteristic requires facilities and devices which are not normally and readily available at the location at which the customer requests service, then the City shall provide the service subject to paragraph 2 of this schedule. The total cost of all facilities required to meet the customer's load characteristics which are incurred by the City shall be subject to a special contract entered into between the City and the custom- er. This contract shall be signed by both parties prior to the City providing service to the customer. PAGE 27 SECTION II. That if any section, subsection, paragraph, sen- tence, clause, phrase or word in this ordinance, or application thereof to any person or circumstances is held invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the valid- ity of the remaining portions of this ordinance, and the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby declares it would have enacted such remaining portions despite any such invalidity. SECTION III. That the Schedule of Rates herein adopted shall be effective, charged and applied to all water consumption occurring on or after October 1, 1993. That the Rate Schedules for water service as adopted with the enactment of Ordinance No. 93-161 of the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas by the repeal of Schedule WW21 for Water Sales for Resale to Municipal Corporations, Water Dis- tricts and Other Governmental Entities by Agreements After June 1, 1986, and the amendment of Schedule WW1, for the Sale of Water for Resale to Municipal Corporations, Water Districts and Other Govern- mental Entities by Agreements Prior to June 1, 1986 so that here- after the same shall read as follows: SCHEDULE WWI INTERIM TREATED WATER/RAW WATER RESALE AND TRANSMISSION SERVICE TO UPPER TRINITY REGIONAL WATER DISTRICT IN ACCORDANCE WITH ORDINANCE 92-122 AND RESOLUTION R92-038 [Effective 06-01-9~1] APPLICATION In accordance with Ordinance No. 92-122 and Resoultion 92-038 of the Denton City Council, this schedule is applicable to all interim treated and raw water sales and transmission service to the Upper Trinity Regional Water District (UTRWD) through May 31, 1998. The adjustment shall be adjusted by multiplying the applicable fee times a fraction (the CPI Adjustment Formula), as follows: Current CPI-U Index Previous CPI-U Index Water Treatment/ X Transmission Service Fees Variable treatment and transmission charges shall be based on the operating budget costs for the fiscal year for which the rates are applicable. Raw water costs for UTRWD shall be based on 85% of the rate charged by the City of Dallas to Denton for raw water purchases, as adjusted at the beginning of each fiscal year. PAYMENT Denton shall render bills on the tenth (10th) day of each month. Bills shall be due and payable when rendered. Bills are considered delin- quent if not paid within 20 calendar days of the date a bill for service is rendered. There shall be a ten percent (10%) per annum interest charge on the amount due from the date when due until paid if not paid within 20 calendar days of the date a bill for service is rendered. SECTION II. That if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word in this ordinance, or application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance, and the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas hereby declares it would have enacted such remaining portions despite any such invalidity. SECTION III. That all other rates adopted with the enactment of Ordinance No. 93-161 shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION IV.
