AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE
OF NAME FOR THE CITIZENS TRAFFIC SAFETY SUPPORT COMMISSION TO THE
TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMISSION; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Citizens Traffic Safety Support Commission has
requested a change in its name to the Traffic Safety Commission;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion the requested
change is appropriate to more accurately reflect the function of
the Commission; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Citizens Traffic Safety Support Commission
will hereafter be known as the Traffic Safety Commission.
SECTION II. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
force when the provisions of this ordinance become effective which
are inconsistent or in conflict with the terms or provisions con-
tained in this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of any
such conflict.
SECTION III. That this ordinance shall be effective immed-
iately upon its passage.
