AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AMENDING THE BOUNDARY OF
THE OAK-HICKORY HISTORIC DISTRICT BY ADDING THE THREE PROPERTIES
LOCATED AT 305, 311, AND 403 MOUNTS STREET TO THE DISTRICT, AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the owners of the three properties located at 305,
311, and 403 Mounts Street have petitioned the City to include
their properties in the Oak-Hickory Historic District, and
WHEREAS, the Historic Landmark Commission and Planning and Zon-
ing Commission have recommended that the properties be included in
the District, Now, Therefore,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the boundary of the Oak-Hickory Historic Dis-
trict is amended by adding the properties located at 305, 311, and
403 Mounts Street to the District, the properties being more parti-
cularly described in Exhibit A, attached to and incorporated in
this ordinance by reference
SECTION II That this ordinance shall become effective im-
mediately upon its passage and approval,

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
All that certain tract, lot, or parcel of land situated in the William Neil
Sutvty, Abstrict 971, City and County of Denton, Texas, and being more part-
icularly described as follows
BEGINNING at a steel pin at the back of a concrete walk at the intersection of
the North line of Gregg Street with the West line of Mounts Avenue,
THENCE S 88°34' W with the North line of said Gregg Streer 140 04 feet to a
steel pin at the Southeast corner of a lot described in a deed from Central
Presbyterian Church, U S A to J B Farris on July 20, 1926, and recorded in
Volume 205, Page 511, Deed Records of said County,
THENCE North 99 5 feet to a fence corner at the back of a concrete curb at the
Northeast corner of said Farris Lot,
THENCE East with a fence on the South line of a lot described in a deed from
E S Edwards to Alvin Hill in May of 1915 and recorded in Volume 141, Page 275,
Deed Records of said County, 140 0 feet to a steel pin at the back of a concrete
walk on the West line of Mounts Avenue,
THENCE South with the West line of Mounts and of said concrete walk 96 0 feet

of Wm Neill 100 1/4 acre Survey, A-971, the parcel of land herein conveyed being
composed of two tracts conveyed to Alvin [fill by two deeds one dated May 1915
executed by E S Fdwards and wife, Lucille A Edwards, of record in Volume 141
Page 275 Deed Records of Denton County, Texas and the other deed dated
September 26 1916 erecutpd by R N Mounts and wife, Nannie Hounts, of record
in Volume 135, Page 542, Deed Records of Denton County Texas, being more
particularly described as follows
BFGINNING at the southeast corner of a lot of land conveyed by F S Edwards and
wife to Alvin Hill by Deed abovemeitioned, a stake on the West line of Mounts
Avenue,
THENCF Northetly along said line of Mounts Avenue at 56 5 feet passing the
northeast corner of said tract conveyed by E S Edwards and wife to said Alvin
